Vue is a colorblindness simulator project that features several interactive elements. I was responsible for the creation of the Vue website, trailer, and photography/videography elements. The goal of this project was to spread awareness about design accessibility. Designers should strive to make their work accessible to anyone with visual impairments. Vue uses a Meta Quest 3 VR headset that uses color filters to simulate what a colorblind person might see. The website also allows people to upload images and test what they look like with 3 different types of colorblindness.

This class project involved the use of AI tools. Because the website had special functions & needed to be developed quickly, our team decided to use Cline AI to code the website. First, I designed a website in Figma. Then, I shared the Figma designs with Cline, which turned them into a working website. This method saved us time, and the website lets you upload your own images to view with different types of colorblindness.

Vue was showcased at the Viz-a-GoGo exhibition in 2025. Colorful objects were placed on a table as well as a brand guide, poster, & laptop to display the website. People could put on the VR headset and see how the world changes when turning on color blind filters for Protanopia (third image), Deuteranopia, Tritanopia (second image), & Monochromacy (first image). Vue is not a diagnosis for colorblindness and should only be used as an accessibility tool. This was a group project completed by Jayden Polk, Erica Mueller, Judy Dunbar, and myself.
